Recent fund raising events:
Recent funds donated to the school:
We recently provided shelters for all of the playgrounds, protecting the children from the sun.
We have recently donated funds to provide a ‘Willow Wall’ and a water dispenser. Prizes will be provided for the Easter activities in school.
£1,700 for the Y6 Kingswood Trip to keep the cost as low as possible.
We are a committee made up of parents of children at Ashtree School and teachers. We organise events throughout the school year.
We raise funds to provide all Ashtree children from Nursery to Year 6 with extra classroom and play equipment, including the refurbishment of the junior trim track. Our funds are also used for trip subsidies, prizes, books and much, much more.
We are always looking for new members to join our committee to offer as little or as much help as you can. Any help is appreciated. We meet once a month for our committee meeting to discuss forthcoming events and any other ideas we may have.
We are a very friendly bunch and would welcome anybody who would be interested in joining us.
Some of the money raised has help to refurbish the school libraries, the junior trim track and the purchase of train in the Nursery Play Area.

Friends of Ashtree PTA and Fundraising Committee
Many parents, because of work or family commitments, are unable to help in the school during the school day, but still welcome the opportunity to support the school through the Friends of Ashtree PTA and Fundraising Committee. The FOA develops close co-operation between parents and the school, and provides much-needed finance to enrich the educational environment for the children. Many items of equipment have been purchased with money raised over the years by the FOA, including playground equipment, the ‘Junior Librarian’ computer system and a whole new reading scheme.
The FOA promotes activities such as Family Discos, Quiz Nights, Mothers’ and Fathers’ Day Sales and a Christmas Fair, and is affiliated to the National Confederation of Parent Teacher Associations.
As can be seen from this brief résumé, the FOA benefits not only the children but also the whole school community. The FOA is a partnership of parents, children and teachers which is of mutual advantage to all, especially the children, who can see home and school in co-operation and constant communication with one another.
Meetings of the Friends of Ashtree PTA and Fundraising Committee are held regularly, and the dates will be found in the weekly newsletter issued by the school. An Annual General Meeting is held once a year, usually in September, when the committee and officers of the Association are elected.
HOPE TO SEE YOU SOON!!!
